Overview

·       45 years in municipal and Tribal strategic planning
·       21 years with Citizen Potawatomi Nation as Director of Real Estate Services, staff of 20 and overseeing 14,000 acres of tribal lands
·       Expanded the CPN reservation area from 1,500 acres to 14,000 acres
·       Responsible for operations of 4,000 acres of agricultural programs and 200 acres of sod operations
·       Completed 75 fee to trust applications totaling 3,900 acres
·       Completed 250 trust to trust applications
·       Negotiated the purchase of over 200 parcels of land
·       Developed the CPN compacted BIA Land Title and Records Office (currently only one of nine Tribal LTRO offices and with the highest certification authority of any such Tribal office)
 

Bio

Charles P. Meloy

Mr. Meloy’s education includes an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from Metropolitan Technical Institute followed by 10 years as an electronic technician with an electronics firm, a Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee Technological University in Natural Resource Management, a Master’s Degree from University of Oklahoma in Regional and City Planning and two year’s post graduate work at the University of Oklahoma in Business Finance leading Oklahoma Department of Commerce’s certifications as Circuit Riding City Manager and Economic Developer. 
Mr. Meloy and his wife of 54 years have enjoyed an active sports life include several years in the horse business, where he paid part of his college tuition working as a farrier. A former yacht racer, Mr. Meloy spent 15 years in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, following 2 years in the Army National Guard. He then spent four years of service in the United State Navy with three years and two months at sea. Charles was a competitive precision pistol competitor for many years and now coaches Olympic rifle and pistol to future Olympians.
